He has always been fascinated with military planes, the Spitfire and Luftwaffe most of all. As soon as he could, Price joined the RAF, then volunteered for aircrew as an Air Electronics Officer and flew in Hastings transports and Vulcan bombers. Price also instructed in electronic warfare and target penetration tactics. He left the RAF as a Flight Lieutenant in 1974, having logged over 4,000 flying hours, to pursue his dream of becoming an aviation writer. He has written over 40 books and lives in Leicestershire.
