- The Naval Aviation Museum Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in 1966 to support the development of the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida.

Through effective fundraising and positive leadership, the Foundation has enabled the Museum to grow from is original 8,500-square-foot facility to become one of the largest aviation museums in the world, boasting almost 300,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 140 naval aircraft.

The Foundation is much more than just a fund-raising organization. From award-winning publications to the annual Naval Aviation Symposium, the Museum Foundation continues to excel in fulfilling its mission to promote and preserve the proud history and rich traditions of naval aviation. Witch the opening of the Flight Adventure Deck in 1999 the Foundation took on an additional role of education. the program teaches concepts or aerodymanics, aerostatics, gravity, and propulsion to middle-school children in an exciting, hands-on environment. This educational role will be further expanded with the creation of National Flight Academy-a bold new endeavor that will teach students the concepts of flight and the fundamental core values resident in Naval Aviation in an exciting, week-long program. Whit a strong sense of purpose, an extraorinay wealth of educational resources, and the strength of more than 11,000 members, the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation enters the twenty-first century as one of the nation's morst dynamic nonprofit organizations.
