PRIVATE PILOT'S LICENCE COURSE: Flying Training. Vol.1.
The first book in the PPL course series, the first all-new series of training books for over a decade, follows the JAA PPL flying training syllabus and takes a fresh and modern approach to learning to fly. It dismantles some long established myths and encompasses many issues concerning today's pilots (wake turbulence, ATC procedures, transponders and radar, radio navigation, noise abatement etc.) as well as those timeless airmanship issues that have always been vital to safe flying (lookout, carburettor icing, organising cockpit workload etc.)
The book takes the reader from a point assuming no pre-knowledge of aviation, to the completion of the JAA PPL flying syllabus. It is presented in a straightforward manner, with no irrelevant theoretical material. Illustrated throughout with diagrams, line drawings and photographs, including a step-by-step 'patter' of each flight exercise with internal and external views of the flight exercise to match. PPL1 is also the only training book currently available which covers the full UK JAA PPL syllabus, including in particular Radio Navigation.
