This is an updated version of Five crashes later, originally published in 1988 in UK. Readers of this translation of the book Et cinq de chute will be interested to see that four new chapters, with 12 new photographs. An epilogue have been added to the original book. The first four chapters cover the initial pilot training of Derek Leyland Stevenson including, alas, his first crash, hence the title.
